what started off as an attempt to stave off NYC COVID19 fears eventually spurned into a pursuit to embrace my Korean roots
kimchi, at the intersection for: food (my love language), my diasporic questioning of who I am, and my essence as a Carolina Girl obsessed with I-40 (iykyk)
i didn’t know how far this project would bring me into my creative ether, what collaborations it would bring, and lessons learned surrounding merch & branding & marketing ~
our early history is filled with a different label per batch. over the years, AWGK Kimchi has been shared across the state of North Carolina and shipped to various pockets of the USA. We have created specialty batches for non-profits, sold merch (& jars!) at a grl riot show in Durham, NC, and remain a question to be asked amongst luvrs, but also friends!
